I Help People Who Are Stuck Reclaim Their Financial Power *
Hi, I'm Simone, and I believe your current money situation isn't your weakness—it's your superpower.
Money is often seen as an external game. The more you go out, hunt and kill, the more you get to bring home to enjoy. And the more of that which you don’t spend, the more you can save and invest your way to wealth. But suppose you’re neither a hunter nor killer, and no matter what the experts say, it doesn’t seem realistic to sit on the sidelines of an already stressful life by not actually living. And outside costs so much!!!
I get it, and want to affirm: you’re not wrong. We’re not all built to be in the corporate C-suite, we don’t all have ideas that translate to money flowing from the sky, some of us aren’t even entrepreneurial, and it often feels like no matter what we commit to doing with our money, for a multitude of legitimate reasons it just doesn’t come to fruition. These are all very true, and nothing to be ashamed of. So now what?
Sometimes it takes someone outside of you to show you what you can‘t see because you’re inside the story. This is where I come in. My gift as your money coach is seeing your whole self, listening to your whole story, and showing you the opportunities that already exist in your life that can be used to achieve your dreams and goals. This is why I say ‘it all starts from within.’
Services I provide:
Creating a financial plan that aligns with your core being
Design, adjust and maintain a budget that keeps your well being at the center
Recognize and clear any money beliefs that no longer serve you
Clarity around short and long-term goals
Crafting savings and investing goals that leave you feeling like your world is expanding, rather than shrinking to fit into other’s ideals.
What I’m not:
A financial advisor, which means I don’t invest money for you or recommend any investing strategy.
A therapist, so while we dive into the emotional and behavioral aspects of your relationship with money, should the wounds go deeper than I am able to help you navigate through, I will happily suggest you engage a licensed professional to work alongside us.
Consider me a little mix: you may not feel like you have enough to invest yet and are just looking for some financial structure that works for you. And you know you’re struggling with achieving your money goals, but also know it doesn’t go so deep that you need dedicated mental health work for this part of your life. Does any of that resonate?
We might be a good fit if you:Are experiencing a life transition (divorce, kids out of the house, job changes, becoming a caregiver, etc)
Feel some shame around your money (welcome to the club)
Know what you ‘should’ be doing but can’t seem to actually do it
Feel stuck; or
Just want an objective perspective on your finances
We are NOT a good fit if you:Feel like you have it all together (if so, I probably need to talk to you and find out your secret)
Are in financial survival mode (though I can recommend other experts for that)
Or are not really ready to consider another approach (no judgment, sometimes we’re just not ready to do the work).

Empowering Communities Through Thoughtful, Background-Centric Financial Education
I believe that financial education should honor the whole person—their values, their pace, and their unique circumstances.
My Foundation: Two Decades in Nonprofit Housing
My own journey in financial empowerment began when I was trying to figure out my financial path while discovering how much traditional financial advice fails many who need and want it most. I continued to witness how financial approaches that do not incorporate the person implementing the plan can leave them feeling more confused and discouraged than empowered.
I’ve worked with families whose financial worlds were crumbling, as well as those who were doing well but knew they could be doing so much better. None of them could Google or AI their way to an optimal solution. Personally, I tried to fit into various popular financial models and beliefs while working to get out of debt and learning to consistently save. Nothing worked until I tweaked their processes and incorporated self-development, which none of the gurus were teaching at the time. I wouldn’t have been able to make such crucial adjustments without my professional background in housing and finance. My success, and later that of my clients, has proven that financial education isn't just about numbers and budgets—it's about self-awareness and rebuilding financial confidence from the ground up.
Through my experience in housing and financial services, I learned that:
Financial decisions are deeply personal and emotional, not just mathematical
People facing financial crisis need both practical solutions and emotional support
Shame and fear around money can paralyze good decision-making
People need time and space to process major financial choices, even during emergencies
Cultural background, family dynamics, and past experiences all influence financial behavior
True financial empowerment comes from helping people trust their own wisdom, not just follow expert advice
Sustainable change happens when we honor people's natural decision-making processes
Resilience and resourcefulness already exist within communities—our job is to help people access and build upon these strengths
My Unique Approach to Financial Education
Trauma-Informed and Background Centric: I understand that many participants come with financial wounds from past experiences, systemic barriers, or simple lack of awareness. My approach creates psychological safety while building financial capability.
Deliberate and Thoughtful: Rather than rushing through curriculum, I create space for participants to process information at their own pace, ask questions, and make decisions that truly align with their values and circumstances.
Flexible and Adaptive: I recognize that life circumstances change, and financial strategies must be flexible enough to evolve with people's needs. I teach adaptable principles rather than rigid rules.
Resilience-Based Approach: My decades of working with clients have taught me that everyone has incredible strength and resourcefulness within them. I help participants recognize and build upon the resilience they've already demonstrated, rather than focusing on deficits or failures.
Holistic and Empowering: I address the emotional, relational, and practical aspects of money, helping participants reclaim their personal power and financial authority.
What I Bring to Your Organization
Crisis-Tested Experience: My experience includes working through some of the most challenging financial periods in recent history. I've helped myself and other families rebuild after financial devastation, and find pathways forward even when options seemed impossible.

I understand what it's like to deliver difficult news while maintaining hope.
Adaptable Approach: I understand that financial wellness looks different across cultures and communities. I adapt my teaching style to honor core values, traditions, and decision-making processes.
